Exposition : Entre matières et lumières
Sculptures and photographs
Exhibition duo with Tifet and Nalofoto
With Tifet's sculptures, you'll escape into a moment of humanity, tolerance, empathy and dialogue in opposition to the darkness of the world. A moment of sharing for a vision of art offering an opening to benevolent meditation, non-violence and the fight against racism.
Nalofoto's photographic impressions of winter seascapes capture the power of waves in stormy weather and tormented skies.
Artists on site:
Tifet: Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7, 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Nalofoto: Saturday June 6, 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Tifet started sculpting as a matter of course (after 25 years of painting, patinas, trompe-l'il and wood painting). She then met her friend Martine Vaugel, an international sculptor and director of the New York School of Sculpture, with whom she has organized numerous workshops in Brittany. Her aim: to bring her work to life by seeking emotion and sharing. The subject must "speak" to her, "touch" her above all else, beyond aestheticism, fashion and convention.
Nalofoto moved to Cap Fréhel 15 years ago, in search of an unspoilt, rural area after 45 years of city life. The place is so magical, with its colors and landscapes changing daily, that it made him want to immortalize them. That's how he started photographing his surroundings, and made it his profession a few years later. He wanted to share the beauty of nature with as many people as possible, and at the same time bear witness to its fragility: the fragility of landscapes battered by the tides, the fragility of the flora and fauna, in a very touristy region. So, he took his camera with him on every outing, to capture an image on his walks. That's why he's nicknamed "the photo-walker". Over time, and with the exhibitions he produced and the feedback he received from visitors, his desires evolved towards more artistic and less figurative representations. But he still has a particular taste for photos of the birds that populate our peninsula.
