Visite du Domaine des Pommes d'Armor

Domaine des Pommes d'Armor is a cider mill located in the commune of Guitté, in the Rance valley, along the Rophémel reservoir.

The estate processes apples from its orchards to produce cider, apple juice and cider vinegar.

The apples are picked by hand from the ground, from late September to December. The apples are then left for several weeks in wooden paloxes after picking, to ensure optimum ripening before pressing.

The varieties for each cuvée are selected for blending before pressing.

The apples are carefully sorted and washed before being slowly pressed in our press.

We produce quality ciders, naturally foaming on indigenous yeasts (apple yeast), as well as apple juice and cider vinegar.

The tour is divided into three parts:

The first part is a presentation of the orchard and the pressing line, with explanations of the different apple varieties, harvesting methods and pressing methods.

The second part of the tour takes in the winery building, with explanations of juice processing, fermentation and working methods.

The last part of the tour is a presentation of the product range, with a tasting session.
