The arrival of holidaymakers at the end of the 19th century changed the lifestyle of the inhabitants and the face of Lancieux. The seaside resort gradually took shape. A new church, hotels and shops rubbed shoulders with the old farms, the Vieux Clocher and the old agricultural village. And yet, the village seems to have preserved its soul of yesteryear.
