Visite guidée "Histoires d'arbres"

Did you know that the willow tree was the source of acetylsalicylic acid, better known as aspirin? Or that the fruits of the beech tree, the "faînes", can be eaten raw or roasted, like chestnuts?

For one afternoon, the Domaine départemental de la Roche-Jagu invites you to take an unusual tour of the tree, accompanied by one of the estate's gardeners. As you stroll through the park, Jean-Christophe Hamon, a tree pruner by trade, will tell you all about the history of trees and their secrets, and give you invaluable advice on maintenance, planting and pruning... with a straight face!
