The brand-new museum dedicated to Mathurin Méheut (1882-1958) nestles in the heart of Lamballe town center, in a completely refurbished former stable of the Haras National. An immersive space plunges visitors into the heart of the artist's work.

Mathurin Méheut, gifted with a keen sense of observation and boundless curiosity, excelled as a painter, illustrator and decorator. An artist of Brittany, his work also reflects his many travels in France and abroad. The museum, enriched with multimedia supports, offers an in-depth, never-before-seen insight into the artist and his period.

The museum is supported by prestigious new acquisitions (bringing the total number of works in the collection to 6,000) and an innovative museography covering 400 m² of exhibition space.
