Stages d'écriture de chanson

A workshop to discover how to create song lyrics and set them to music, for around ten participants. Open to all levels, music and writing lovers and adults alike, for the pleasure of creating and writing together. No prior knowledge of music or literature required.

Course program:

Songwriting and recording: tools for exploring the creative process. Develop your creativity by writing lyrics and setting them to music through melody research. Start with the text and/or the melody. Work from vocal improvisation or writing exercises. Exercises to stimulate the imagination. Games based on writing constraints. Automatic writing. Notions of poetic and grammatical forms. Work on lyrics and melody.

Second part of the workshop: refine and complete one song per person. Record your own song based on several orchestration proposals, then add backing vocals with other workshop participants?

Particular attention will be paid to respecting the work of others, so as to create with confidence and serenity.
