Semaine des alternatives Low Tech - SALT 2026

Bicycle blender, tubular solar oven, flexyourte, wood peeler, vermicomposter, ram pump...

From July 11 to 18, some twenty trainees, teenagers and adults, will gather in Fréhel to make low-tech objects, using simple, sustainable and low-energy techniques. This SALT - Semaine des alternatives low tech - will take place at Ker Eor, an eco-environment located in a wooded valley a stone's throw from Cap Fréhel.

On the menu for this low-tech festival organized by the Les Ecoptimistes association: do-it-yourself workshops, as well as cooking classes, bike repair courses and concerts, plus events open to the general public: a conference on the low-tech approach on Monday July 13 at 6pm, a low-tech aperitif on Wednesday July 15 at 6pm at the Palanquée du Cap, and an open house on Friday July 17 from 3pm to 6pm to discover the low-tech products made during the week by the trainees.

Registration for SALT includes catering, workshops and membership of Les Ecoptimistes, the association organizing the event.

Trainees will be hosted at Ker Eor for an entire week, from the evening of Saturday July 11 to the morning of Saturday July 18. Food and lodging will be provided on site.
