Opéra sur écran(s) : "Robinson Crusoé"
While Offenbach?s operettas are a regular fixture in lyric theaters, his more serious works are rarely performed, with the exception of "Les Contes d?Hoffmann". Yet the music of Robinson Crusoe reveals treasures of imagination and color, carried by the Orchestre national de Bretagne and conductor Guillaume Tourniaire, one of the greatest specialists in French music.
And who better than Laurent Pelly to direct this little-known score, striking a subtle balance between laughter and poetry, while questioning our relationship with the unknown and the foreign?
