Idrissa Kouyaté and Jean-Luc Thomas met in Brittany in 2025, and in the course of their concerts have built a bridge between compositions and improvisations, giving pride of place to Mandigue rhythms and Casamance songs, punctuated by the breath of the flute. Jean-Luc Thomas has long worked with the Serendou trio, building bridges between West Africa and Brittany. This new collaboration with Idrissa Kouyaté weaves new links between the arpeggios of the kora and the volutes of the wooden transverse flute.
