La Costarmoricaine
La Costarmoricaine is a 5-stage, 5-day raid with a route stretching from Cap Fréhel to Perros-Guirec. This year it is once again the Mondial des Raids Formule 18.
La Costarmoricaine supported the first Sport Catamaran Raid World Championship in 2018, and again in 2023, and has also regularly supported the Coupe de France des Raids. The course can reach up to 175nm (324km), in 5 days and around 80 course marks. The Club de Voile de la Baie d'Erquy is a small club, but one that is used to organizing international events.
The first edition of La Costarmoricaine took place in 1993. The 2026 edition will be the 31st. There was no Costarmoricaine in 1997, as the CVBErquy organized the F18 European Championship, and in 2000 for the first F18 World Championship.
Since 1993, the race has seen the participation of some of today's top racers. If you look at our rankings, you'll recognize those who have gone on from Formula 18 to ocean racing or the Tour de France à la Voile. However, the race remains open to any crew used to racing in Formula 18 and having taken part in a long-distance race. On the whole, from professionals to enlightened amateurs, everyone will find an opponent to race against.
