"Human beings being my main focus, the symbols and metaphors of the marine world give me a lot of freedom to propose a personal universe in which, like an alchemist, I sprinkle a little mystery, ambiguity and poetry into my retort. Playing a balancing act between darkness, hope, humor and gravity, I want to invite the viewer to lose himself in the reflection of a distorting mirror in which rather imposing characters evolve, with faces marked by History and whose powerful hands grasp an allusive animal or material attribute. "
This universe is expressed through paintings on canvas, as well as assemblages of pieces of wreckage and other materials, giving rise to altars and ex-votos where the boundary between the sacred and the profane becomes blurred...
Exhibition open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm.
