Exposition temporaire "Devant le temps"

Having long explored the world of mythology, Béatrice Bescond has been interested for some twenty years in the plant world, and more particularly in trees for their symbolic, metaphorical and poetic links with mankind. Her approach is based on both observation of reality and imagination.

Evoking the processes of growth and the cyclical movement of time, the artist penetrates to the heart of living plant life to capture its tiny, fragile breath. Her paintings, composed of signs, graphic rhythms and unstable spaces, transport us into a moving world and invite us to meditate on time.

The fluidity of Béatrice Bescond's forms invites us to a sensitive experience of multiple times: the time of looking, the time of perception, the time of memory, the silent time of dreams. For the viewer, time seems to be superimposed, entangled in projective and enigmatic networks.
