Exposition LUCIEN POUËDRAS – La mémoire du peintre
The Domaine départemental de la Roche-Jagu is dedicating a major exhibition to the painter Lucien Pouëdras. The exhibition will showcase over 124 original works, including a large number of his paintings completed since 2018. It will also feature audio commentaries by the artist, an invaluable witness to rural life in Brittany before the post-war reparcelling.
Beyond the ethnological approach, the works of Lucien Pouëdras allow us to fully appreciate the qualities of this artist, sometimes described as a naïve painter, but above all free to propose a singular style of painting.
This exhibition is an opportunity to discover a rare and sensitive work, revealing a biodiversity that has partly disappeared, and highlighting an issue that is more topical than ever at a time of ecological upheaval.
Based on observation, play and manipulation, a fun trail has been designed to help visitors discover the works. The trail is designed for all ages and all levels of comprehension, and offers an entertaining and educational way to discover the exhibition.
