Exposition - "Des pierres et des Tournemine. Histoires d’archives retrouvées"
Who was the family behind the construction of Château de la Hunaudaye, and who remodeled it over the centuries?
How did they live out their lives in this fortress, an integral part of the local landscape?
Thanks to the rediscovery of written archives from the 15th and 16th centuries, and their study by the Tournemine specialist, we can shed new light on this lineage and its life at the château.
It's not just the lords and ladies who emerge, but also the servants and stewards who made the château a veritable living theater.
Because history is still being written at La Hunaudaye, we are pleased to present an exhibition focusing on the written records of life at the château. So, come and rediscover this site we thought we knew, and let us leave the door to the castle?s history wide open.
