Exposition de peinture : Pervenche Mahé
"There are paths that dazzle, sweat, peak and go beyond limits, they overflow off the beaten track and shelter castaways, dreamers, madmen and enthusiasts" Periwinkle .M.
Originally from the Côtes d'Armor in Brittany, I was born in Dinan. I spent my early years in the seaside village of Saint Cast le Guildo. My feet were in the water, my hands in the sand and my hair in the wind. I later moved to Dinan, a charming medieval town where I spent most of my schooling. I took drawing lessons, which fascinated me.
After 3 years studying in Rennes and then Saint Brieuc, I got my first taste of the sunny south of France. I settled on the Barthelasse island in Avignon, then in Sorgues, where Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque lived. I explore every path, climb the mountains, while the cicadas and the Mistral accompany me wherever I paint. My eyes fill with color, and so do my canvases.
I then travel to Northern Europe for a few months. I admire the grandiose landscapes and the cold, pure light. I pass over the Arctic Circle to finally return to my native land, to enjoy the song of the sea again, my feet in the sand, my hair in the wind on the Saint Jacut de la Mer peninsula.
I've fallen in love with this little village, with its authentic character, its simplicity, its endearing inhabitants and the beauty of the site, which changes with the tides... In the distance, I can even see my home port, the land of my mother and grandparents. So I live between land and sea, between two worlds, balanced, with my head in the stars? my feet on the ground? my heart in the sea.
Today, I'm still painting, putting colors where I see them and imagining my reality with my brushes. My world is poetic. My heart speaks in every brushstroke. Everything is a source of inspiration: the sea, people, nature. Some of my paints are made from natural, ecological products, and I try to paint on recycled materials in order to respect nature. I hope my paintings will touch you?
