Exposition de peinture de l'artiste peintre CHÉQUER - Office de Tourisme
Exhibition by painter CHÉKER at the Tourist Office from May 5 to June 19, 2026!
Come and rediscover the landscapes of Perros-Guirec through the brushstrokes of Solange Le Chéquer:
"Born in Brittany and outside the artistic milieu, I don't identify with a singular artistic approach, apart from a vital and imperious need to paint that gradually imposed itself.
Self-taught, my encounter with Pierre HÉRVÉ, painter and architect, was decisive in helping me acquire the basic skills I lacked. Then the discovery of the École d'Étampes and the painters Éric BARI, Alain JAMET and Christophe DEBUSSCHERE was fundamental to my progress. Their teaching, along with meetings with Ronan OLIER and Stéphane RUAIS, official painters of the French Navy, helped me develop my taste for painting even further!
In 2018, I decided to turn over a new leaf and become a professional artist. I join the ART TRÉGOR and PENN ARTS BED collectives, and exhibit regularly with them. Since 2020, I've been exhibiting on my own at the rate of one show a year in Perros-Guirec.
I am particularly proud and honored to be admitted in 2019 to the TAYLOR Foundation in Paris and to receive the pewter medal of the Société Académique Arts-Sciences-et-Lettres de Paris.
My painting technique, essentially in oils, is akin to free figuration articulated around light. I strive for truth and balance in my paintings. My paintings are an invitation to meditate on the fragile poetry of fleeting moments and the passage of time".
The exhibition is on view during Tourist Office opening hours.
