Exposition - Bénédicte Le Goff & Stéphanie et Benoit Cauchiès, "Corps en paysage"
This exhibition presents the work of three artists: Bénédicte Le Goff, visual artist, Stéphanie and Benoît Cauchiès, both sculptors.
Bénédicte Le Goff's inspiration comes from movement, from her own dance, as well as that of the sea, wind and sand. "I'm like a landscape body; deep down, I feel that I'm an integral part of the environment, of its elements.
Her profoundly organic artistic approach is nourished by the living and gives pride of place to improvised gesture and abstraction. The artist explores maritime territories, at one with nature and surrounding materials through dance, watercolor, ink, acrylic and photography, and incorporates natural elements such as seawater, sand and seaweed into her paintings. She will be sharing the space with two local artists: Stéphanie and Benoit Cauchiès.
Stéphanie Cauchiès' figurative sculptures represent characters from her imagination. Through busts and postures, she seeks to conjure up presences that are both strong and fragile.
And finally, Benoit Cauchiès, a self-taught sculptor for some thirty years, models bodies and faces in clay, very often female. He strives for natural poses, anatomical accuracy, aesthetic curves and the right expression to convey emotion. You can meet their questioning or attractive gazes....
