Olivia Elkaim is a French journalist and novelist. Several of her novels examine her family origins. In her writings, places and characters (some inspired by her own family), fact and fiction overlap, without getting lost.

In Frimousse a disparu, 9-year-old Corto enjoys spending time with Frimousse, his grandfather Mitch's dog, until the day the animal mysteriously disappears. After many months, Mitch receives a text message telling him that Frimousse has been found hundreds of kilometers from Belle-Ile. Habib, a refugee, undertakes to bring her back to her master.

Frimousse a disparu, his first novel for young readers, was published in 2025. Inspired by a true story from Belle-Île-en-Mer, this story tackles, from a child's point of view, themes such as climate change, migration and bullying at school.
