Jean FERRAT or the song of a rebel. It will have been 15 years since Jean Ferrat passed away. Appreciated by a wide public, Jean Ferrat is considered, like Léo Ferré,

Georges Brassens, Jacques Brel... as one of the greats of French chanson. Ferrat used to say that there are two kinds of song, "songs of distraction and songs of expression". He accused the record industry of putting financial considerations before the art of creative artists. Publishing open letters to the various players in cultural life, presidents of radio and TV channels, ministers, he denounced a programming that favored "commercial" songs over musical and poetic creations. During his career, he alternated between sentimental, poetic and political songs, and often had a run-in with the censors. Renowned for his talent as a melodist, he set to music and popularized many of Louis Aragon's poems, with Aragon's approval.

Accompanied on guitars by Dominique Robineau, Claude Couamme sings 18 songs during the artist's presentation, accompanied by a slide show.

Since 2010, they have given more than eighty concerts of Jean Ferrat songs, including 14 in Brittany's UTLs.
