Chantiers de sculptures à la Vallée des Saints : chantier N° 3
La Vallée des Saints is also a place for artistic creation, welcoming sculptors in residence every year. Several month-long monumental sculpture projects are organized and open to the public. They take place right next to the statue park. Here, you can witness the impressive spectacle of perforators, grinders and disk saws that, under the creative and daring fingers of the sculptors, gradually give birth to these majestic statues. The sculptors use only Breton granite, working on imposing blocks weighing from 15 to 25 tonnes. Spectacular! In 2026, four construction sites will punctuate the year, giving birth to new granite figures, each with its own history and meaning. The new statues to be born in 2026 during the third project: Sainte Thérèse de Lisieux sculpted by Bilal Hassan, assisted by Raphaël Cheneval - Bienheureuse Madeleine Morice sculpted by Jean-Philippe Drévillon - Saint Laurent sculpted by Bruno Lamer, assisted by Gabrielle Shanmugam - Saint Mona sculpted by Olivier Lévêque, assisted by Tristan Bansept.
