Léona D. is a poignant work of literature and investigation that resurrects the forgotten figure of Léona Delcourt, better known as Nadja, iconic muse and short-lived lover of André Breton. Blending personal narrative and biographical research, and drawing on Léona D.?s letters, Ella Balaert gives voice and body to this woman, too long reduced to a character in a novel.
