Vallée des Arts
The Valley of the Ru in Cavan is crossed by the river of the same name which has its source in Kergroas. The "Valley of the Arts" was born from the will of the elected officials who decided to acquire a sculpture each year, to animate this natural space, arranged in walk. The first acquisition was a small granite owl, emblem of the commune, which is located at the corner of the wash house.
In 1998, a particularly striking experience was the reception of the sculptor in residence, David Puech, who worked under the public eye
The works gradually spread throughout the valley before emancipating themselves in the direction of the town.
The valley of arts constitutes a place of inspiration for various artists who realize amazing sculptures, today exposed along the path. It is an invitation to a walk between art and nature.
The site is accessible all year round. A visit booklet is available at the town hall.
Visits for groups are possible with the association "Les Amis des Arts".
