Forêt de Loudéac
Sparkling under a coat of frost in winter, verdant in the first rays of spring, refreshing under the summer sun, enchanted in autumn by the bellowing of the stags, the Loudéac forest is a perpetual invitation to stroll. With its 2,500 hectares, it's one of Brittany's largest forests.
In the past, it formed a whole with the Brocéliande forest, the home of Merlin the magician and King Arthur. Today, it is a haven of peace for deer and roe deer, to be discovered along the many hiking trails.
At a bend in the path, the "Président", the oldest tree in the Loudéac forest, a "fagus sylvatica" beech around 170 years old, wisely watches over the massif.
