Bois de Penhoat-Lancerf
The Penhoat-Lancerf massif covers an area of 600 hectares, and is the largest coastal forest in Northern Brittany. The forest dominates the Trieux estuary, following its meandering course.
Three distinct environments are present on the site: on the heights, the forest massif planted from the 19th century onwards with various species (coniferous and deciduous), then the moorland composed of heather and gorse. Finally, on the banks of the Trieux, the estuary is subject to tidal variations.
To discover this unique ecosystem, visit the Maison de l'Estuaire in Plourivo on the banks of the Trieux.
