📍 Plouisy
Site du Champ de Tir
This 9 Ha site, which had belonged to the State since 1870, was used as a training ground by the army until the Algerian War. Deserted until 1971, it was occupied by meteorology until 1982, for sounding balloon launches. In 1990, the City Council, aware of the site's roots in the Commune's historical heritage, decided to acquire it in order to enhance its assets and make it available to the population. Today, it is a natural area of 13 ha, open to a wide public: hiking enthusiasts, mountain bikers, runners, picnic and nature lovers.
