Réserve naturelle nationale de la Baie de Saint-Brieuc

In its exceptional natural setting, Brittany?s second-largest nature reserve is teeming with surprises. Listen, look and breathe!

The fifth-largest bay in the world in terms of tidal range is located on the Channel-Atlantic migration route. Between 30,000 and 40,000 birds migrate or winter here: Siberian geese, spotted locustellas, Balearic shearwaters, skylarks, linnets, brant? These guests know that in this seemingly barren landscape of over a thousand hectares, the water and sand are alive with an intense animal life. A veritable larder! The bottom of the bay is also home to a remarkable geology, dunes, salt meadows?

The Réserve Naturelle watches over this remarkable natural heritage, optimizing compatibility between conservation, human activities and public access. Depending on the time of day, the tides and the seasons, the foreshore changes? Stop. Contemplate. La Maison de la Baie, the "nature house" dedicated to the Nature Reserve, offers themed outings all year round.
