Pointe de Pordic

From the pointe de Pordic, a breathtaking panorama over the ports of Binic and Saint-Quay-Portrieux to the west, and the plage des Rosaires and pointe du Roselier to the east.

The cliffs are carved from hard rock. The Baie de Saint-Brieuc was formed by a succession of faults, fractures in the earth's crust. The succession of valleys bears witness to this eventful coastal formation.

On the heights, the thorny hedges of blackthorn, hawthorn and gorse are home to small passerines. In spring, you'll hear the songs of tits, linnets and finches.

You can also see the remains of an old guardhouse (the base of the walls remains), which housed 10 coast guard militiamen recruited from the local peasants. Two cannons and a red-bullet furnace were located below.

Access by bus, line 10, L'Herminier stop.

Parking and picnic tables.
