Mare temporaire

Under the footbridge a temporary pond was created by the embankment of the sunken path. It is a living place for many species of amphibians such as frogs, but also newts and salamanders. The ponds are also indispensable environments for the development of many insects such as dragonflies and damselflies which have an aquatic larval stage.
