Les espaces naturels de Beauport
A member of the Grands Sites de France network, Beauport Abbey and its 110-hectare estate form an exceptional historical, cultural and natural heritage.
The estate is made up of a mosaic of natural environments: reed beds, rocky shores, salt meadows and marshes line the shores of the abbey, while woods, streams and ponds structure the interior.
The monument is surrounded by gardens and orchards offering a rich diversity of plant varieties. The conservatory orchard still enables the abbey to produce cider and apple juice.
Breton sheep and cows contribute to the upkeep of the estate. With a view to environmentally-friendly management, garden areas are planted alongside unmowed areas.
The estate is open all year round.
