Le Tertre de Brandefert
In the heart of Brittany, the Tertre de Brandefert is a 96-hectare protected natural site, supplying the Plancoët mineral spring. Renowned for its exceptional biodiversity, the site has been described as an "exceptional island of ordinary biodiversity", and is home to 795 animal species. Since 2009, researchers from the University of Rennes, in collaboration with the commune of Plancoët and the Eau Minérale Naturelle de Plancoët company, have been carrying out an in-depth study to preserve and enhance this unique ecosystem.
How to get there
To get to Tertre de Brandefert, head for avenue de Sassay in Plancoët, where there is a parking lot opposite the Plancoët water bottling plant.
Practical information
From the parking lot, educational panels provide information on the local flora and fauna, allowing you to discover the natural riches of the tertre while learning at the same time.
