le Parc des Bernains
Natural space & panoramic view of the bay
The Parc des Bernains is a landscaped natural area offering panoramic views over the port, the Bay of Saint-Brieuc and the surrounding area. Steeped in history from antiquity to the Middle Ages, this site is one of the few of its kind in Brittany, with the remains of a stone wall over 600m long winding its way across the plateau, with seven towers, supposedly but no longer standing, one of which, known as the "Tour de César", is said to have once served as a lighthouse for the port of Binic. Accessible on foot from the town center, it makes a pleasant stop-off point for strolls or hikes, notably the Circuit des Bernains (? 4 km), which highlights nature, the sea and coastal landscapes. The site is also suitable for baby carriages.
