📍 Lamballe-Armor
Landes de La Poterie
The neighboring village of "La Poterie", part of "Grand Lamballe", owes its name to no coincidence: until the middle of the 20th century, pottery activity flourished here. Potters extracted the clay needed for their work from the moors. They left behind hundreds of holes in the moor. A very specific fauna (ponds rich in batrachians and dragonflies) and flora developed in this particular environment, to the point of having the site classified. Protected by a biotope decree, the "Lande des Potiers", 4 km from the historic center of Lamballe, is an unmissable stopover for nature lovers. A nature trail and a discovery booklet "Au pays des mille mares" (In the land of a thousand ponds).
