L'étang du Korong

The Etang du Korong, in Glomel, is a place of relaxation appreciated for its many uses: beach, fishing, water sports, hiking or trail running. With its 75 hectares, it offers an unspoilt natural setting accessible to all.

Its origins date back to the Middle Ages, but the pond took on its current form in the 19th century, thanks to the construction of a dam. At the time, the dam was used to supply water to the Nantes-Brest canal reach during dry periods.

An easy 6 km family trail leads around the pond, offering a delightful combination of water, nature and heritage.
